Your evening begins with a scenic cruise to Emerald Bay, where you’ll hear stories about the lake’s rich history, Fanette Island, and the iconic Vikingsholm Castle. As the sun sets, we’ll make our way back toward the South Shore and settle in for the fireworks, enjoying the show from one of the best vantage points on the lake.
Throughout the cruise, guests can enjoy catered appetizers and a selection of included drinks. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will also be available onboard.

Due to repairs going on at the Vikingsholm Castle, the tour inside has changed this year. Areas not previous visited are open now but accessed by a narrow and steep staircase. Mobility challenged guests should be aware.
Want to visit Vikingsholm Castle in Emerald Bay without the long hike? Join us aboard our beautiful 1950 wood cruiser, the Tahoe, and visit Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm Castle by boat!
This cruise operates in partnership with the Sierra State Parks Foundation. The cruise departs from Tahoe Keys Marina, seven days a week at 3:15PM and returns around 6:15PM. You will travel to beautiful Emerald Bay, where the Captain will share some of Tahoe’s most interesting facts and history, setting the stage for the Vikingsholm Castle Walking Tour. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as Eagles and Ospreys, and the occasional Black Bear may be seen.
Once docked in Emerald Bay, you will disembark and begin your tour of the Vikingsholm Castle with a Sierra State Parks Foundation tour guide. This walking tour will last approximately 30 minutes.
