The Tahoe

The Tahoe is a classic, one-of-a-kind wooden cruiser built in 1949 and launched in 1950. Named after the historic Steamship Tahoe, also known as the S.S. Tahoe, this boat carries forward the spirit of Lake Tahoe’s early days, when the original steamship transported guests, mail, and cargo to destinations around the lake.

Designed by Will Gardner and built by the Munson Brothers in Seattle, The Tahoe was originally owned by E.B. Scott, author of The Saga of Lake Tahoe, one of the most well-known historical accounts of the lake. After launching in 1950, The Tahoe recreated the same route once traveled daily by the S.S. Tahoe, carrying beachgoers from beach to beach around Lake Tahoe.
